Although this is a bit easy at first, I hope this provides some help for those who come into trouble when doing design with both suites. In this part I will show how to create a custom PCB on Altium from a random model on GrabCAD in SolidWorks and then using the created work to assembly everything on SolidWorks. I used SolidWorks 2014 and Altium Designer 2019, but I believe it is essentially the same for most versions.

Metodología: ⁜Definir el ensamble completamente, modelando el equipo de la forma más real posible, validando la estabilidad y representatividad del modelo CAD 3D, ahora esto depende el equipo computacional que se tenga porque el análisis consume recursos como el procesador y memoria ram. ⁜Simulación, considera la configuración de propiedades y condiciones de borde, acordes a la información recopilada. ⁜Análisis de resultados y generación de conclusiones. Lo fundamental es caracterizar puntos críticos encontrados en el modelo.

In this tutorial we will learn how four bar linkages work. We will create and assemble these linkages in SOLIDWORKS. I will describe crank rocker mechanism (one complete revolution) and double crank mechanism (two complete revolutions). These four linkages are: 1) Fixed Link or Ground Link (q) 2) Shortest Link or Crank (s) 3) Longest Link or Coupler (l) 4) Remaining Link or Rocker (p) I have explained Grashof's principle on which these linkages work. s + l ≤ p + q I have also shown few examples. Some are: 1) Bicycle 2) Wiper Mechanism 3) Door Mechanism 4) Oil Well Pump 5) Locking Plier 6) Suspension Mechanism We will assemble these using simple mates (coincident and concentric). After assembling these link we will perform motion study in SOLIDWORKS Motion Analysis. We will give input at crank (20 rpm) and see the response on the output link (p). In this tutorial, we'll learn basic flow simulation in SOLIDWORKS 2020. First of all, we'll model a circular disc and then we'll do a basic simulation. The goal is to find out Drag Force and Drag Coefficient. Parameters for the study are as follows : 1) Cylinder Diameter=0.02m 2) Cylinder Length=0.03m 3) Dynamic Viscosity=0.0000181 Pa.s 4) Working Medium=Air 5) Reynolds Number=10 6) Velocity=0.0007 m/s 7) Density=1.23 kg/m3 8) Temperature=293.2 K 9) Pressure=101.325 kPa We will establish drag coefficient equation. We perform simulation, then we will plot results along with graphs and MS word report. It is a good exercise for beginners and it will be a good practice for beginners.
