(The reader should be familiar with basic CATIA Part Design commands) This tutorial is to respond to a recent question asked by Nouman Khalid: "This dump solid is generated from a STL and i am given a .STP file. This video shows you how to transform a cloud mesh (based on a "STL" file) into a proper surface. It is a reverse engineering topic where you have a hull that you cannot work on. With the dedicated Digitized Shape applications, you can transform this mesh into a surface using the PowerFit feature. You will obtain a surface that is very near from the original mesh, with a maximal deviation of 0.972 mm.

how do i hide all planes,constraints in assembly in CATIA ?

On menu line select EDIT, than on pop-up menu select SEARCH, than go to the tab ADVANCED. On this tab you choose the right parameters: i.e. planes and axis. Selection of more than one parameter must be done with boolean operator "OR". When the parameters are set, then you click SEARCH and after that you click SELECT. Now all desired features are selected and painted in orange (in assembly and in structure tree). Click HIDE command (pop-up menu "view" or icon on toolbar "view") and that's it.

How to create a linked BOM and balloons in a CATIA drawing
