9 3 Beginner
Hi welcome back to CADable. Here I am starting a new playlist related to basic tutorials of SOLIDEDGE. This is the 2ns tutorial of this playlist. It is a good exercise for beginners and it will be a good practice for beginners. In this tutorial, we will learn these commands: 1) 2D Commands & Relations 2) Protrusion 3) Cutout 4) Rib 5) Round 6) Chamfer 7) Thin Wall 8) Color Kindly use play pause technique for practice. I have attached files in the description for practice. Feel free to ask your queries in comment section. I will try to answer each and every question. Keep practicing as practice makes a man perfect. #solidedgepracticeexercise #solidedgebeginners #CADable https://grabcad.com/library/solidedge-practice-exercise-1 Kindly Subscribe our Channel for more Videos and Projects in SolidEdge, Solidworks, Blender & Keyshot. Generative Design with solide edge: a case study

4 1 Beginner
Generative design in Solid Edge integrates advanced topology optimization within the Solid Edge 3D modeling toolkit, helping designers to create lighter components, minimize material waste in downstream manufacturing. Generative design produces an organic, reduced-mass geometric solution of a specific material optimized within a defined space, accounting for permissible loads and constraints. These highly customized designs are well-suited for casting or high-resolution 3D printing, or they can be modified for traditional manufacturing. Generative design in Solid Edge is unique in that it results in “ready-to-print” surface quality. In this video https://youtu.be/XrHjdoLKATk , you’ll learn: - What generative design is, and how it is different - The step-by-step process for creating an optimized shape Please support by subscribing

Proper Method to Produce Lobster-back Duct Bends

3 1 Beginner
One type of industrial component I have been involved with the design and manufacture of is lobster-back bends. This type of duct bend is made up of segments cut from flat sheets or plates, rolled into cylindrical parts, then assembled. These can be light sheet-metal or manufactured from thick plate. This quick tutorial is a supplement to the one I produced an outline of a method I have used modeling this type of component using Alibre Design. As this supplement concerns producing parts ready for manufacture and applies to whatever software you have used, that is not important as this short tutorial is to outline turning your modeled bend into the flat profile ready to be made into the completed bend. In this modern world, the bend parts will be cut out using CNC laser, or CNC Plasma cutting machines. Sometimes we produce the nc programs ourselves or we are required to produce the correct files for the laser / plasma department to program and cut out. Making the program to cut out the parts starts normally from a 2D dxf file at a scale of 1 : 1. This is the first part of the process that has to be correct. If you produce this dxf incorrectly the finished parts will be useless. Producing this at the right scale, 1 : 1 is different with different 3D cad applications, other problems can be caused by you working in different drawing units. If you are not doing the program, talk to the person who is to make sure you produce the dxf as required. Having a large quantity of wrongly cut parts is not a good thing
